Guidance and Psychological Counseling

The aim is
- The student able to knows himself / herself,
- To be able to develop problem solving skills,
- To express his / her feelings and thoughts correctly.
All studies carried out by MOD guidance unit are carried out on the basis of the developmental characteristics of the student in the physical, cognitive, social and emotional fields, and in support of the needs of all our students in order to ensure that these areas are recognized by the parents and teachers. At the same time, teacher and parent-based activities are also included in our institution.
Student Based Studies
Student interviews
These are all the activities aimed at identifying and solving the students’ problems in educational, social and emotional development as a result of their own wishes or observations of the guidance service
Parent interviews
These are the interviews that are based on the student’s academic success and social-emotional development which are requested by the teacher or parent.
In-class observations
These are the observations made in order to evaluate the students’ behaviors during the course and the teacher – student relationship
Garden observations
It is the studies which are done in order to observe the behaviors or behaviors that occur spontaneously by evaluating the students in their natural environments.
Within the scope of the guidance course, interactive works that are designed in accordance with the developmental characteristics of the age and which support social-emotional development are carried out every week
Teacher Based Studies
The common language is used by the MOD family in order to ensure consistency in school order and behavior in the school environment.
All members of the MOD family feel responsible for learning and teaching information.
It raises individual who can respect cultural and individual differences, who can be productive by taking responsibility for consumption and who are aware of their responsibilities first themselves than to their family, country and the whole universe.
The MOD family is aware of the importance of interpersonal communication, such as self-understanding, understanding the student and understanding each other.
Parent Based Studies
Student recognition meetings per year
These are interviews held on a regular basis every year to get to know the families and get information about the students
End-of-year information meetings
These are the meetings held regularly to cover student evaluation that consist of yearly activities.
Interviews made as required
As a result of the changes in the student behavior, the interviews are made with the request of parents or teachers.
Weekly information articles for parents
Articles written by the PDR service every two weeks consisting the social and emotional development subjects.
Parents information seminars
These are trainings organized by our school guidance service or experts at specific periods in the family structure and child development.
The aim of the MOD guidance unit is to improve students’ social and emotional skills by doing preventive studies in the light of MOD values.
