MOD Colage is a boutique school that provides self-renewing contemporary person special education.

MOD International Special Education Services and Investment Inc. started operation in 2.12.2014, by completed the campus construction on the land belonging to the founders in the same year, started education with the licence of Ministry of Education on 6.10.2015 as Private MOD Bodrum Kindergarten. In the same year, from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies received Private MOD Bodrum Nursery license for the acceptance of children between 0-36 months. This document was renewed as Private MOD Bodrum Day Care Center for the acceptance of children between 25-66 months. Private MOD Bodrum Primary School was obtained from Ministry of Education on 3.2.2017.

With the understanding of boutique school, MOD College continues its services with a creative education concept where children do not get lost in without compromising on quality.

MOD College, starting from kindergarten, works to create individuals who can be multi-lingual social leaders from an international point of view by giving education and learning in a safe, happy environment equipped with wide opportunities.

MOD College adopts and implements educational models that combine the total benefits of renewal and innovation without sacrificing experience.

Our goal is to establish a structure with our students that grows without compromising the quality of education within itself without opening a class from outside our school in primary school. As a school that inspires other schools, our aim is to provide best learning environment for our children, who are our future, In this process through the perspective of being a mentor not a teacher with the help of our team who guide their students with our own contents and learning strategies we use.

● How is the enrollment and orientation process at school?

After enrollment in pre-school, orientation process starts. Afterwards, an appointment is given to a free hour of one of the class teachers, our student stays one hour at first day. In this process, one of the parents waits for the student in the waiting area and the next days are planned according to the child’s behaviours during the day. The whole orientation process varies from student to student but is completed within 3 to 5 days. In this process, guidance counselor, assistant director and classroom teacher form the student observations and after a week all observations are shared with our parents.

Students who want to register in primary school are given a day in our school. During the day, students’ adaptation, attendance and academic status are evaluated. Registration can be done in case the student can easily adapt.

● How is the distribution of students by month and age in the classroom in preschool?

In preschool after our students Cognitive, motor, fine motor, social and emotional skills are one of our priority criteria. By evaluating these criteria, the appropriate age group is determined by a commission consisting of classroom teacher, guidance service, the corresponding assistant manager and the school principal. Students’ knowledge of the students who are in the future or who are behind their peers are forwarded to the parent after these evaluations, risks and advantages are transferred. no change in the year.

● What are our class forming criterias?

In MOD College, our teachers stay in the same age group every year because they work with the branching system. Students at that age level are evaluated according to individual differences, friendship, academic, social and emotional development of all courses by a commission formed from classroom teacher, guidance service deputy director and school director, Class lists are formed so that all classes are homogeneous. Thus, teacher-student-parent relations are restructured at the beginning of each year. Since the corporate culture is accepted and applied by all teachers, school applications are applied not teachers. Student class changes are not made during the year. Parents’ demands on this issue are unacceptable.

This situation works in the same way as primary and pre-school.

● How many teachers are there in classrooms?

In our Pre-school classes, there are two classroom counselors (Classroom Teachers), one of the class teachers surely enters the branch courses so that there are still two teachers during the branch courses.

In our primary school classes, there is only one teacher in every lesson. However, in the individual and group studies, a second teacher is introduced to the students and small group studies are carried out in line with the programs and objectives.

● What are the students' eating and feeding routines?

Our students have three meals as breakfast (small snacks instead of breakfast at primary school), lunch and afternoon feeding. We also see food hours as part of our school hours. We believe that our students are influencing the growth and development of clean, tidy and healthy nutrition by following the etiquette. For this reason, we want them to continue the day by washing their hands before and after the meal time. We aim to make our students habitual by using napkins, knives and forks during meals.

● Okul dışı etkinlikleriniz nelerdir?

Eğitim Öğretim dönemi başlamadan önce yıl boyunca yapılacak olan gezilerin listesi ve hangi haftalarda yapılacağı okula dönüş gününde velilerimiz ile paylaşılır. Gezi sırasında hava şartlarına bağlı olarak okulun yönlendirmesine göre giyilir. Gezilerle ilgili izinler senelik olarak alınır. Her geziden 3 gün önce bilgilendirme yazısı ile velilerimize hatırlatmalarda bulunulur. Senelik alınan izin dışında öğrencinin herhangi bir nedenle katılmasını istemediğiniz  bir gezi var ise veli sınıf öğretmenini bilgilendirir.

Eylül ayından Haziran ayına kadar hazırlanmış yıllık planlarımız doğrultusunda aylık kazanımlarımızı yaş gruplarımıza göre ailelerimize gönderiyoruz, haftalık olarak da her dersin öğretmeni  konuların pekişmesi adına haftalık planlarını ilişkili kazanım ve konuları alarak hazırlar ve uygularlar.

● Sınıf içerisinde öğrenci gelişimini nasıl takip edebiliriz?

Mod Kolejinde bir öğrencinin bireysel kapasitesi ve hazır bulunuşluğu göz önünde bulundurularak müfredatın belirli bir dönemde öngördüğü ve sınıfta işlenen hedeflerini ne kadar öğrendiğini ve hatırlayabildiğini çeşitli araçlar kullanarak belirlemek amacıyla yapılan çalışmaların tamamı ölçme araçlarıdır.

Okulumuzda süreç değerlendirmesi ve öğrencilerimizin gayreti başarı kadar önemlidir. Okulumuzda ölçme değerlendirmeler;

  • Bireysel farklılıkları göz önünde bulundurarak öğrencinin gayretini ve ne kadar öğrendiğini,
  • Öğrencinin neyi bildiğini / bilmediğini ve bununla bağlantılı olarak öğretmenin neyi öğretmesi gerektiğini,
  • Ölçme aynı zamanda öğretim programını ve öğretmenin performansını değerlendirmek amacıyla kullanılır.

Ölçme değerlendirme araçları olarak;

  • Rubrik ve kontrol listeleri
  • Sınıf çalışmaları (Öğrenci çalışma kâğıtları, çalışma kitapları)
  • Ö&D kağıtları kullanılır. Her eğitim öğretim döneminde 4 tane rapor 2 rutin veli görüşme, her haftada dönüşümlü olarak öğrencinin gelişimini paylaştığımız “Haftanın Değerlendirilmesi” gönderilmektedir.

● Hasta çocuk geldiğinde uygulanan prosedürleriniz nelerdir?

Okulumuzda bir revir hizmeti yoktur. Ancak doktorunuzun verdiği, uygulaması basit ilaçlarınızı (antibiyotikler hariç) yazılı bilgilendirmeniz ile uygulayabiliriz. Özel bir uygulama gerektiren, öğretmenin diğer öğrencilerle çalışmasını engelleyecek bir durum söz konusu olduğunda bu tarz ilaçları uygulamayı kabul edemeyebiliriz.

Eğitim, yemek, kırtasiye dahildir. Okulumuzda kamu indirimi, kardeş indirimi, peşin ödeme ve erken kayıt indirimi yapılmaktadır. Oranları ile ilgili muhasebe bölümü ile görüşmek gerekmektedir.

● Bulaşıcı hastalıklarda nasıl bir önlem alınıyor?

Bitlenme, soğuk algınlığı ve grip, beta virüsü,  zatürree, hepatit A, hepatit B, rota virüs, ishal, bağırsak paraziti enfeksiyonu, idrar yolu enfeksiyonu, çocuk felci, suçiçeği, kızamık, kızamıkçık, kızıl, kabakulak, difteri, tetanos, boğmaca bulaşıcı hastalıklardan bazılarıdır. Bu hastalıklardan biri ya da benzeri öğrencinizde görüldüğü zaman aşağıdaki adımlar okul tarafından uygulanır.

  • Okulda çocuklar toplu halde bulundukları için bulaşıcı hastalıkların görülme ve yayılma hızı daha fazla olabilir. Bulaşıcı hastalık ortaya çıktığında hasta olan öğrenci bulaşıcılık dönemi bitene kadar okula alınmaz.
  • Bulaşıcı hastalık ile karşılaşılan öğrencinin sınıfında bulunan tüm öğrencilerin velilerine bir bilgilendirme yazısı gönderilir.

● Öğrenci servisleriniz var mıdır? Uygulamaları nasıldır?

Belirli güzergahlar içinde okul servisimiz bulunmaktadır, bu güzergahlar sene başında velilerimizden gelen taleplerdeki yoğunluk oranında belirlenir. Servis ile ilgili uygulamalarımıza tüm velilerimizin uyması beklenir. Bu uygulamalar; sabah gelişlerde öğrenciler servis şirketinin belirttiği saatten üç (3) dakika önce bekleme noktasında hazır bulunur. Öğrenci iki (2) dakika beklendikten sonra servis hareket eder. Çocuklarımızın uzun süreler servislerde kalmaması için bu uygulamaya tüm velilerimizin uyması çok önemlidir. Öğrenciler kendilerine tahsis edilen servislerde ve koltuklarda yolculuk eder. Yolculuk esnasında koltuk değiştirilmez, yerinden kalkılmaz, emniyet kemeri çıkarılmaz.
